We started the band in 2001, calling ourselves first Stone Cold Sheeit. We planned to start playing soudtrack-like music. We released one record by that name. Soon we thought of adding Finnish lyrics and poetry on some of our songs and because, we changed our name to Kokous. The music stayed mostly instrumental, and we recorded a self-titled album in January 2004. (You can download the full album from Mikseri.net ) After that we had a long break in playing together, and re-activated in 2006 for the recording of a new album(and two gigs). The recording process took over 6 months because of other projects getting in the way(Pekka and Jari play in Moses Hazy ). .
