Blues rock voice with a soul twist, London based singer Samira is a seasoned performer and songwriter. Over her 9 year career as a professional muician she has performed with different bands such as Clockwork Orange, Dharma Tree, Blue Steel and Hook whose styles have ranged from metal to jazz.
In 2006 she self released the EP 'Box of Rocks' featuring 6 tracks she wrote outside of her various projects. In early 2007 she teamed up with Caspar, Joel and Ed to form her band. She also has an electronica project called 'Dominant Season' with German producer Martin Kinz(www.myspace.com/dominantseason). Dominant season was the electronic artist month in Rave Magazine. Samira has been on the Radio City twice for her solo release as well as with Dominant season on the completion of their album 'Growth of Animation'.
In 2007 Samira won the 'Best Vocal Student' award from The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance in London.
As a versatile singer she has done many sessions for radio and televison, including clients like IBM, Nissan and Toyota. She also used to host a rock and blues hour called 'Overdrive' on the WorldSpace Satellite Radio network.
