The Castaway Players Theatre Group is a theatrical production company of over 30 talented actors and actresses with both alumni and non-alumni statuses. In July 2005, The Castaway Players presented Richard O’Brien’s "The Rocky Horror Show" for one night only in Woodstock, NY. Since then, The Castaway Players presented "The Rocky Horror Show" once more in 2006 and gained more public attention. For their 2007 Season, the theatre group presented Neil LaBute's "The Shape of Things", and the classic rock musical, "HAIR".
The Castaway Players Theatre Group will:
•Enrich the role of theatre/performing arts in local communities and people’s lives
•Introduce the performing arts to youth, with or without theatrical experience, in all aspects of the theatre
•Aid in the social and artistic development of performers young and old, professional or amateur, with the vast knowledge, creativity and expertise that exists within the group.
