daling is stepping to the front, poised to break out, caught up in the noise-loops without losing a tune. The vocals are reminiscent of Team Dresch or Kathleen Hannah, but don’t give in to the new queer-hype. daling owes a mental tattoo to Sonic Youth. Crashing, static echoism joins silence - and it’s all good, it even rocks.
