Bury The Weak (Auditioning Vocalists)

About Me

Welcome to Bury The Weak’s page. Bury The Weak was formed in November 2005 in an attempt to create a uniquely powerful metal sound. But these aren’t your typical talented local musicians with an overly inflated sense of worth – yeah, you know who you are. No these are just four average guys brought together by an unconditional love of technical riffs, vociferous lyrics, crashing drum beats, booming bass, and jager-bombs. By day they might be fixing your car or changing your oil, but by night they compose some of the most infectious songs full of hate and angst. With a combined 72 years of experience and 20 bands between them, after two songs you can’t help but bang your head, and after three – you wont mind having your teeth knocked out to your very own beat-down soundtrack. To Book Bury The Weak call Missy at 860-481-5797.

Band Members:Jamie Doom-Us is the dark front man with a voracious appetite for Jackson Rhoads guitars, a technical ear to match his adept hands and a ominous voice. He shreds riffs with an ease even accomplished musicians dream about. And if that doesn’t make you jealous – he is impressively self-taught. Jamie has been playing guitar for 15 years, and has played in 10 Connecticut bands. A Jackson Rhoads aficionado, his collection is 7 strong and growing. And he plays every one of them, through a Peavey 6505 plus head and a Crate cabinet.Christopher McGinty is a maverick bassist morphing - in just two years - his extensive 15-year background in guitar into mind blowing bass lines and a spot-light stealing onstage presence. He began playing guitar in the early 1990s, and has complimented 6 Connecticut bands. When he played guitar he preferred BC Rich, but now enjoys an ESP bass, run through a Behringer head and Hartke cabinet.Ryan Mackenzie is the newest addition to Bury The Weak, taking over the drums from founding member Josh Smith in February 2007. In just days, he mastered the drums for Bury The Weak’s entire set. Ryan brings 19 years of experience behind a drum kit, beginning with playing drums for Connecticut Youth Jazz as a teenager. But eventually he left jazz for metal, playing with the now defunct Kill Your Demons. Before BTW, he played with Rocky Hill’s Dead to Rise. Ryan plays on an upgraded Pacific Drums & Percussion FS Series kit.Tyler Martineau, a rhythm guitarist and BTW founding member, rounds out an already impressive string section with 23 years’ experience. He was previously a member of the Connecticut metal band 80sixed. But after years of being dissatisfied with the quality of music produced by local metal bands, he decided to form what is now Bury The Weak with former drummer Josh Smith. Tyler, like his comrade Jamie, enjoys a Jackson Rhoads run through a Peavey 5150 head and Line 6 cabinet.
