Wil's childhood years were spent growing up in Newark NJ. During the late 70 and early 80's. For those that know WBLS, Zanzibar, The Box, Shelter and names such as Larry Levan, Naaem Johnson, Camacho, Kenny Carpenter, Frankie Knuckles, Timmy Regisford, Abigail, and Kenny Bobien. Then you know Wil's Musical roots. Wil grew up in the mist of the Disco and Club revolution. This cultural Renaissance that gave the world House Music.
In 83 Wil moved to Las Vegas with his family. Missing what he left behind on the East Coast, Wil at the age of 18 began throwing parties in Las Vegas for a 21 & over crowd in order to have a non-commercial night out on the town. Years later this grew into the transformation of the entire Vegas club scene.
Wil's recognized as being the 1st. DJ in Las Vegas to work regularly with upscale Fashion Retailers, Modeling Agencies and Visual Artists. Starting as Early as 1988, long before these concepts became a trend in Las Vegas. In 2002 Wil produced the music entertainment for the 1st. official “First Friday†Festival in Las Vegas. Now a monthly Festival.
In 2003 Wil teamed up with Detroit's own Godfather of Techno Soul, Eddie Flashin Fowlkes. Together guided by the wisdom of people like Juan Atkins and Kevin Saunderson, Wil and Eddie produced the DANCE TECH CONFERANCE in Las Vegas. Held at the RIO Resort. The DTC was the first independent dance music conference in Las Vegas. The DTC offered some increased and 1st. Time National exposer for Las Vegas 's best DJ /producer talents. Like the Winter Music Conference the DTC showcased panel speakers from companies like SONY, XLR8TR MAGAZINE and more. The DTC social parties were held at several Las Vegas night clubs including Hush, Voodoo Lounge and Curve. These parties featured performances by Globally recognized house music DJ's & Producers like BOO Williams, Norm Talley, Keith Worthy and more.
Between 2000 - 2004 Wil also helped operate Liquid 303 Records. A DJ Record store owned by his good friends John & Shylah Torres which for a half decade served as The Central Location for House Music Culture in Las Vegas.
In 2006 WiL partnered with Chicago's famed recording Artist Jesse Saunders and worked as Jesse's Production Manager at TriQ Nightclub inside Planet Hollywood of Las Vegas.
Today WiL continues to work as a DJ and event producer for the Las Vegas Fashion Scene, Club Scene and Art community . Most of all WiL's Music Production & Audio Engineering career keeps him dedicated to his recording studio. Keep in touch and Look out for new releases.
