Peer Benary first saw the light of day in the spring of 1978. During his early childhood he already had intense sessions listening to radio shows, and later worked at the school radio station as a moderator. The first steps as a DJ were made at school parties with just two tapedecks and not even one mixer, but lots of enthusiasm.
In 1989 the Berlin Wall fell and Techno music flooded the city. Hungry for new sounds, Peer listened to the new sound on the radio. Clubnights were still just a dream at this time, so hundreds of music tapes and CD..s were collected. Productions were made between 1994 and 1995 and enjoyable to listen to, but Peer preferred djing much more than producing. In the Autumn of 1998 he bought his first DJ equipment (pitchable CD Players & mixer) and the first mixes began to happen. Aesthetic borders were quickly reached, both technically and musically.
A compilation mix from “Global Underground†effectively changed things in 1999. Impressed by the track selection and the incredible mixing, Peer had to re-think his own way of djing. First his own partys were organized and both the crowd and DJ were pleased. The record collection was growing rapidly and after the Ibiza visit in the Summer of 2001 there was no looking back, turntables and a new mixer were urgently needed! No sooner was it said than done. Benary..s first vinyl promotional mix was created in 2002 and enjoyed prompt play on the radio.
At the same time a network of European friends was coming together, and they began celebrating electronic music at various parties in Germany. All styles were represented including Progressive Trance & House, Tribal, Breaks, Electro, Techno and even Goa Trance. After joining the Swiss based crew “White Rabbit†new variations were now possible and the party series “Follow the White Rabbit†began.
A new music label and the studio to go with it are already in progress.
Initial production with “White Rabbit†began in 2006.
A wide musical spectrum and a love for djing make the sets of Peer unique. While enjoying the intimacy of Berlin Bars or big clubs worldwide, his music means “The right sound at the right time at every place!†Not limited to just one certain sound but all that grooves and drives and moves you - through every style of electronic dance music. Expect the unexpected.
