About Me

from here to eternity - punk is a dobro business

well, it started in a cellar late in 1979, trying out all the things and materials to sound. This project was called les "grenouilles industrielles" - the industrial frogs - and it sounded like that... We've recorded some strange melodies and rhythmns over the radio airwaves. Maybe this were the "tesla longitude waves" the russians provoked the eruption of Mt Saint Helen beginning of the eighties...

If you like to ckeck how "Throbbing Gristle" and "Cabaret Voltaire" influenced us, please listen to this:

Mismeasuring of Time and Methods

Since the beginning of the eighties, a massive and revolutionary movement of the young people burned the etablishment here in siwtzerland. Anarcho-Syndicalism and Rosa Luxemburg were the discussed terms. M.o.T.a.M....was kinda a solo project after several socalled punk-bands smashed me out their formations because i plaied a too noisy guitar...I decided to make quite instrumental pieces inspired by "Durutti Coloumn".

Miscast

The punx didn't like my guitar playing, so i took the bass and joined Miscast. Miscast were formed around September 1983 by people in and around Olten, at a time when American hardcore swept into Switzerland. Back then I was working with Felix Fischer at Jamming Distribution and we were probably the first in Switzerland who were trying to sell stuff like This is Boston Not L.A. and Flex Your Head comps, 7"ers and 12"ers by SS Decontrol, Negative Approach, Minutemen, White Cross, Minor Threat and the like.
Miscast played somewhere around 13 shows in Switzerland, among them one supporting Toxic Reasons and another playing after Toten Hosen.

There were several smaller gigs too, one of them we did along with Haine Brigade at an anarchist meeting in Lamastre (France) on July 13th, 1984.

Jaywalker...

...was radical in many senses. We were an active part of the squatter-scene and the international political and musical networking. Jaywalker plaied behind the iron curtain and supported the anarchist-movement in whole europe.
"We are obedient servants and profiteers of ever greater concentrations of commercial might. For the sake of our economic well-being, of flowering need of security we are willing to accept that intricate and anonymous might...
As well as worldwide misery are unavetable and seemingly necessary, we are letting our lives become uniform. From toothpaste to imagination everything is coordinated on the wash-and-wear niveau of a tv-show. We are loosing our connections. In the same measure in which we are becoming technically more and more omnipotent... we are loosing our sensivity. We cannot feel the trees dying and to crying people we give psycho-drops."

Jaywalker released two LPs:

- "free energy through unconnected coils like tesla and reich generators" (1988)

-"i told them my dreams" (1991)

Destroy After Use - Berlin Arlborg 2005
..

Destroy After Use was a project of Frankie Castro (D-Aachen/ Steel-Wheel, Percussion, Voice, Performances, Voodoos, Effects), Sheet (NL-Eindhoven/ Bass, Cello, Voice and Noise), Len Green (NL-Rotterdam/ Percussion, Drums), DD Gallhammer (CH-Zürich/ Guitar, Noise), Mark Trash (NL-Eindhoven/ Drums, Percussion) and many others in the nineties. They did several european tours from ukraina to spain. They never practised and every show was completely improvised. A formation which exploded the big swindle with a russian gas-mask, multicultural hippie-weirdness, dadaistic punk, ritual dances, fake-jazz and crazed out performances. They combined strange humour, noise, ritual celebrations and the audience itself. It was kinda mixture between fura dels baus and the jim rose circus side show, fred frith for poor people and einstürzende neubauten on turkey.
