About Me

Sean Cooney is a community artist, folk singer, storyteller and writer.He lives by the sea on the beautiful Hartlepool Headland where he leads local heritage projects with schools and community groups, celebrating the rich history of the area in song and story.He is one third of the Young'Uns who continue to make a name for themselves on the folk scene and who, in 2009, appeared at major international festivals such as Bremen Vegesack (Germany) and Bie Daip (Netherlands).He runs the Pot House Folk Club which is a fortnightly (friday) singaround at the Harbour of Refuge pub on the Headland in Hartlepool
