U.K drummer Stu Roberts has played live or recorded for The Dhol Foundation, Talvin Singh, Pete Appleyard, H (Steps), Dame Evelyn Glennie , Bryan Adams and many more adding up to over 1200 professional gigs since 1998. A highly versatile drummer professional work has ranged from festivals to cruise ships and west end theatre playing many styles from world music to jazz. Selected highlights include the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne as well as tours of Australia, Brazil and the WOMAD festivals in the UK, Singapore and Australia. Stu has also appeared at many international festivals and has supported artists including Katie Melua (Uk Tour), the Chemical Brothers and the Beastie Boys.As well as live work Stu is on the faculty of The Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford and was formerly the Deputy Head of Drum Studies at the ACM. In 2007 Stu joined a team of ACM tutors teaching instrumental clinics at music colleges and universities in Korea and Japan including Seoul Jazz Academy.Stu endorses Sonor drums and has recently released a solo EP, "Beats and Breaks" on the Earth Connection label.
