A tribute page to Simon Oakes, Ben Durling, Justin Chancellor & Rob Havis ... to spread the word about the UK underground Alt/Psych/Metal band from way back in the early to mid-nineties known as 'Peach' ... also to make people aware about Simon and Rob's new incarnation of Peach,
'Suns Of The Tundra' ... www.sunsofthetundra.co.uk
Peach first played with Tool in London in 1993 and then toured extensively together in 1994, releasing debut album 'Giving Birth to A Stone' the
same year. 'Giving Birth' was re-issued through Vile Beat and then Volcano in the States in 2000 (on the back of The Tool boxset 'Salival' - which featured the Peach composition 'You Lied'). It is being re-promoted globally later this year and will be available for down-loading through Jive records.
This page will be used to showcase rare tracks by the original band from the
eternally unreleased 'Peach Vol 2' (happening one of these days.....)Scenes from a night's Peach... a few memories of one night at the London Underworld, back in 1992, a mere fifteen years ago. This is one of the band's very earliest shows. Also appearing that evening were Mint 400 and Gorgeous Space Virus.
"Spasm" perfomed at UK Download festival, June 2006. Appearing on the bill under the name "Suns of the Tundra", this is the current line-up of Peach, despite the change of name, and still featuring original members singer/guitarist Simon Oakes along with Rob Havis.
