Rickie Castrillo

Rickie Castrillo, a.k.a. Reverend Lowdown, is a New Orleans native and musician. He is also on the board of the New Orleans Musicians Relief Fund (NOMRF). After many years in music as a stage manager, manager, and musician Rickie found his way to Birmingham as Hurricane Katrina approached. He currently resides in Birmingham and plays out at regular gigs.Rickie is joined by Ray Whirlwind on Bass, Mike on Drums, and Daniel Turner on guitar and vocals. Periodically people sit in to sing or accompany, such as Ona Watson, Tommie Joe White, etc.Since living in Birmingham Rickie has played with Zippy D and Brian Les of littlememphisbluesorchestra, (LiMBO) and many other local greats.
