Jenna Batt

Bio in third person...Jenna Batt is orginally from Dix Hills, Long Island. She moved to New York City 5 years ago to study music at New York University. Jenna has been talking since she was 1, whistling since the age of 2, singing by the age of 3, and playing piano since she was 7. Basically, she likes music very much. Ha! She wrote her first song when she was 12, and it is the most embarrassing song ever, and no one will ever hear it ever in the land. After spending several, several years performing in Music Theatre shows, Jazz ensembles, All County, All State, and All Eastern Choirs, she has finally made the decision that song writing and singing her own music is what she loves best and would like to pursue. In 2005, Jenna developed a cyst on her left vocal cord! This was awful, since she was unable to sing for a year- which, to her, felt like infinity forever. After many visits to her wonderful world-renowned ENT and to her super fabulous Vocal Therapist, it was decided that surgery was necessary. Jenna had her cyst removed in the summer of '06. Anyway, following the surgery and rehabilitation, Jenna was back and better than ever! Yayyy! After graduating NYU with a Bachelors of Music in Vocal Performance, she is now back at NYU pursuing a Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Jenna enjoys singing, playing the piano, horseback riding, ice cream, large caramel latte's from Oren's, and watching and reading fantastical things such as Harry Potter, LOTR, and Eragon. Jenna has been playing gigs and Open Mics in NYC area for the past few months. Keep your eyes peeled for more upcoming shows! She would love to see you all!
