You have now entered the world of the Ace Of Spades. Born in Buffalo,NY and raised in Cleveland,OH(FROM LENACRAVE TO HARVARD & LEE). I was some what raised off of hip hop music. I took in the good with the bad and the right with the wrong.I listen to a little bit of everyone in hip hop from the underground to the mainstream. And I've been doing this faithfully for the past 20 years. Some of the artists and groups that have influenced me are De La Soul,RUNDMC,EPMD,LL Cool J,Slick Rick,Doug E Fresh,Ice T,NWA,Ice Cube,Ghetto Boys,Biggie,2 pac,Snoop,Common,Kanye West,Jay-Z,Nas,Bone Thugs N Harmony,OutKast,Twista,Ludacris,Scarface,Wu Tang Clan,Method Man,Ghost Face Killa,Redman,Erik Serman,Keith Murray,Slim Thug,Chamillionare,UGK,and my list can go on and on.lol.Who I'm listening to depends on how I'm feeling at the time.
The way that I feel even determines what I decide to write and rap about.Some say when I'm bragging about how raw of a mc I am I have a supriority complex.lol.Or that they like the stories in my songs because I can paint a vivid picture.The reason why they're vivid is because I'm always talking about something that directly or indirectly happen to me.I'm not the flashy cap rapper type.Not everyone can relate to having money because not everyone has it.But on some level everyone can relate to personal situations or just everyday life.I just write it the way I see it.lol.
When I first started seriously rapping I was in a group called,"Trump Tight".We only made mixtapes,but the people who had them would bang them.We thought we were hot.lol.As we got older the rap group thing didn't seem like something that was going to really happen.Even though the group is no longer we are still like brothers.I decided to still pursue my dream and I ended up getting a break in the industry as a ghost writer.It pays good,but its a dead end position that helps a non-writing rappers look good.Besides I had a problem with not being recognized for my words.So I had to move on,but I didn't leave empty handed.I learned the business and production side of making music.I got out here and started making and selling beats.Eventually,I started landing short term production deals here and there.Those checks were great(lol).Thats when I finally felt like I was really apart of the industry.
