Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Nate started his professional career at the age of 14. Starting out doing local gigs, he quickly graduated to doing sessions at Sigma Sound with the famous R&B producers and songwriters Gamble & Huff. Soon he started touring with recording artists such as Evelyn “Champagne’ King and Jimmy Castor and then jazz artists Norman Connors, Jean Carne, Phyllis Hyman and trumpeter “Hannibal” Marvin Peterson. While living in New York, he worked with producer Narada Michael Walden artists Stacy Lattisaw and Johnny Gill. He also played on Colonel Abrahms’ hit single “Trapped” produced by Richard Burgess. In 1984 Nate produced “Let Me See Your Body Move” on the dance artist Shannon’s album “Do You Wanna Get Away?” Soon after he started working in the studio with Hip Hop artist Afrika Bambatta and toured with Kurtis Blow. After moving to L.A., Nate toured/recorded with Brian McKnight, Jackie Jackson (of The Jackson 5), and Irene Cara, to name a few. Nate currently resides in Las Vegas where he has played with some of the top Casino acts including Dian Diaz, Louie Louie and Malaysian superstar Anita Sarawak for whom he was the musical director.. He was also the musical director for the dynamic duo Soul Desire at New York, New York Casino. Nate is currently the guitarist for Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame inductees the legendary Original Family Stone Featuring Rose Stone, Cynthia Robinson and Jerry Martini. Nate has always had a passion for world music which started when he heard the great Brazilian Guitarist Bola Sete. Nate has just completed his first solo CD entitled Rhythm Tree which displays some of these various musical styles. Nate longs for the day when musicians will once again play from the heart and are not afraid to think outside the box, He looks forward to the music industry’s return to heart and soul of just good music.
