'Tis time again to update the Bio section.
Well, of all my life, the last year has by far been the most radically changing. Back in April I had a job change from my 3-year stay at Publix to working now at Starbucks. My musical career jumped into high gear and I jumped around in 8 or so different bands, and life overall has just been different.
This last year of 2008 started out just like the previous three, but change was on the horizon. I was still aspiring to playing music in a band to make money, and still hating my position at Publix while wishing I could go back to school. However, in April I finally left the black hole that is Publix and managed to find employment in a much more hospitable work environment. Along with the early hours that come with a coffee shop came more time in the evenings for bands, which leads to my musical expansion. I had ended 2007 with the lack of a band and resolved to simply practicing on my own time, alone, and with no chance of pay-out.I won't say with the first band I joined it was a radical change that made it all worth it. What I will say is that with each passing month of playing with so many different people, my music style and ability grew exponentially. To date, the groups I have played with are as follows:
Creekside Christian Praise and Worship Band
Creekside Christian Youth Praise Band
Shell Game (Formerly known as Edgework)
An un-named cover band that never played out =P
Innerfazed
Therapy
...and from the looks of the list I'm almost certain I'm forgetting at least one or two bands. Nonetheless, each one had its own influence on me and a learning experience from all. However, of all these bands I managed to settle on one final band that we, as a band, all hope will be able to make our dreams come true. This band is known as...
Of course, I'll leave it simply as this...if you are reading this section then you should check out our band. My money is on the fact you might very well enjoy it.
The last thing to happen recently is a sort of falling out with many of my friends. I attribute it to my busy schedule and lack of money due to excessive purchasing of necessary musical equipment ^_^ However, those of you who are still here, I appreciate it. Now that things have calmed down in a sense, I, as a member of Marion Crane, finally have a direction in which to focus and I have to warn you all...pending pain of death or natural disaster, we will make it like none other you have ever seen.
Thanks for reading, and I hope to see you out there...even better would be to see you in the crowd of people at our next show, but I'm not picky.
Wishing you well,
