Welcome:
My name is Jonathan Rusk,
This page is a reflection of my musical endeavors with multiple projects and credentials.
Featuring:
Solo material, Steel Collar Vessel songs, Commercials with voice over artist Danny Martignetti, experiments, and any other aspects of my musical references I can think of.
About Me:
I've been a songwriter from the beginning, a (practicing) vocalist for a couple years, and guitarist for many years. I also play a plethora other instruments fairly well and hope to eventually incorporate them tastefully into my live and studio mix.
Background:
Since my early teens I've found music to be one of the most therapeutic, rewarding, and pleasing things I can do for myself.
Music makes me feel unburdened by the rest of the world. I can be at times a perfectionist with personal performance but I belive practicing and Trying to improve is very important even at a professional level. I’m not appreciative of elitist attitudes, letting each unique musicians style shine threw every performance is the key to successful collaboration, diversity, and new ideas.
I like new Ideas.
Experience:
Playing shows, recording, producing, promoting, scheduling, and managing events.
Guitars:
B.C. Rich Eagle Deluxe
ESP ltd MH-50
Dean Accoustic/Electric
Ibenez Classical Nylon String Accoustic/Electric
Amplification:
150Watt Marshall AVT150HX Head
Two 4x12 Marshall MG series cabs.
65Watt Peavey studio pro 112
12" eminence speaker and matching single extension cab.
Effects:
Electro-Harmonics, Boss, and fender effects pedals. I use clean tone, distortion, and delay frequently on my guitar and a little reverb, delay, and harmony in select parts of vocal performances.
Style:
I enjoy playing everything from classical to pop-punk, metal, jazz, rock, folk, and reggae. I hope to one day go on a national tour with a band of easygoing people and have lots of fun making interesting dynamic songs.
Chill accoustic jam sessions saved my life I swear!
I couldn’t stop writing and playing
music if I tried.
Music is to me:
A passion.
a Blessing.
Salvation.
a Curse!
