Heyy everyone :) my name is Damien Verhagen, I am 18 years old since the 4th of july and i was born in Paris. I now live in Québec city, Canada, with my family and i am going to move to Montreal next year with my bestfriend Jannike. My father is Swedish and my mother is French, and i speak english, french and spanish.I went to Costa Rica with my school in 2004, during three weeks to learn the language better.I have a 15 year old sister, who is really amazing and who i deeply love, and fantastic friends to whom i stick and have fun :)
Despite that, i listen to many different kind of music: Crystal Castles, Lily Allen, Angus & Julia Stone, Mark Crisman, KET, Britney, Bran Van 3000, Coldplay, Kylie Minogue, Lady Gaga, Robyn, Royksopp, Tatu, The Knife, Uffie, Jack Johnson, Charlotte Sometimes, Stabilo, The Veronicas,Lykke Li and many others :)
I am very interested in little details of life, and that is maybe why i like to capture some moments with my Canon EOS 400D camera.
I am now in my second year of college, second year out of three. At the first semester last year i entered Marketing and Buisness at the International Baccalaureat, but after 6 months i realized this program wasn't for me.I changed my program of studies to go study in Humanities, but after 6 months of those, i thought i didn't really care about old egyptian wars, and decided to change AGAIN ( and finally the last time) to go in Visual Arts. This choice should have been the obvious choice of program since the beginning, but i guess i had to do it some other way and learn by my mistakes!I have courses of painting & sculpture, drawing, history of the cinema, french and physical education! I have one year and a half to go before finishing college now :)
I also have a interest for the protection of animals, and Brigitte Bardot is one of the women i respect the most, for helping to fight the animals rights. This women, even though she is very extremist in what she defends,has made many progress in animals protection.One of the main subject that caught my attention was the fur industry and I did a big project last year in which i wrote a newspaper article concerning the multiple secrets about the fur industry in Canada.
I am a very open minded person and i love to meet new people, go to random places and do random stuff. I also do like fashion a lot.Individuality is something i appreciate. I also think that whatever your beliefs are, and whoever you like and respect, you should fight for it; do not let anyone walk on your feet. I have been betrayed and lied to, way to many times, and i am building a sort of shell around me to protect myself from what other people can do to me. When you put all your trust into someone, and this person acts like it wasnt worth anything, it is hard to put the trust back into anyones hand again.

Never forget that life is a gift we have, that can be taken away from us at any momment in our life, so we need to use it properly and do exactly what we like, without listenning to other people, who could destroy our dreams...
