About Me

Abbadabba's actually started out as an arts&crafts shop at the Atlanta Flea Market in the late 1970s. At that time, shoes made up just a tiny part of owner Janice Abernethy's business. After the expansion of MARTA shut down the Flea Market, Janice had to look elsewhere to sell her wares. So in 1981 the first "real" store opened in the Little 5 Points neighborhood. As Little 5 grew, so did the store & the selection of shoes. Abbadabba's began selling less crafts & started selling more & more footwear...By 1990 Atlanta was ready for another Abbadabba's, and so the Buckhead store was born. Today there are 5 stores throughout Atlanta: L5P, Buckhead, Roswell, Gwinnett and Kennesaw-Town Center.
Over the years, Abbadabba's has won "Best of Atlanta" from Atlanta Magazine, Creative Loafing, INSite, Where-Atlanta, and many more. We're proud to be Atlanta's Premier Source for Innovative & Comfort Footwear, and hope to continue to be for many more years to come!
