About Me

Jay Iceberg is a versatile hip hop artist representing the Greater Toronto Area. From the age of 12, Mr Iceberg has been surrounded by music and it was only natural when at the age of 16 he was producing his own music. By the age of 18 he had his room converted into a studio and it was apparent that something special was occuring. Around the year of 2005 he joined up with the Certifryed Criminalz and started gaining some notice on the freestyle scene and mixtape scenes. In 2008 Iceberg created Quality Hitz Recordz to manage the performing side of his career, and the union produced many opportunities including various appearances including Northern Vibez and Roc The Mic. Looking toward the future Mr. Iceberg has signed with Razors Edge Records to handle the marketing aspects of his career while producing his first studio album.

Influences: Iceberg draws his influences from all over the map starting with gangster rap group Certifryed Criminalz of which he also is a member, and his cousins Adverteyes, and Ear2Ear of the band Everything Thats Fly.Drawing also from folk singers like bob dylan and arlo guthrie to quasi-new school hip hop like N.W.A. Bone Thugs and Harmony, Talib Kweli, Mos Def and Common, from psychedlic rock legend Jimi Hendrix to sexy sultress Nina Simone, the mind is like a sponge absorbing all, respecting some, appreciating less and influencing more.
