Heavily influenced by a wide variety of artists from Carol King and Amy Grant, to Patty Griffin, Moriah Domby has come up with a unique Folk/Country/Americana approach to music that is truthfully all her own. She has brought a modern style to music reminiscent of vocalists such as Joni Mitchell and Emmylou Harris. Her revealing lyrics take you through the wonderfully happy highs and harsh heartbreaking lows of love.
In 2003 Moriah, Oregon born and bred, packed up her life, dreams, and songs and moved across the country to start her life in Tennessee. Lyrics and melody came effortlessly to Moriah from a very young age. She has been making up songs since she was able to talk. She had a song to sing about everything around her. Before the age of five, she had started teaching herself how to play the piano and picked up the guitar a few years later. When she entered high school, Moriah was certain that she wanted to strongly pursue a life as a songwriter/artist and Nashville was the place for her.
Moriah graduated from Middle Tennessee State University majoring in Recording Industry with a songwriting emphasis. She is very active in the Nashville and Murfreesboro songwriting scenes and plays out often.
