The record is compelling to say the least, and has given Loose Logic the opportunity to experiment with different genres. The Californian-based artist already boasts an unusually talented singing voice, and possesses the ability to flow at rapid-fire pace. The West-Coast, Loose Logic has already shared the stage with the likes of KRS-ONE and Strong Arm Steady amongst others, and 2009 promises to be an exciting year for the young lyricist. Not only has Loose Logic brought the word “creativity†to a new light, but re-created classics into a modern day urban sound. Fans of all genres will be surprisingly pleased with Loose Logic’s efforts and final outcome. The concept has been made available for a free download once again, and the decision has delighted fans who have downloaded the tape in the hundreds.Hip-Hop lives, and this is one of the injections to bring the culture back to its roots, and to the form we all fell in love with.

The Westbrook-produced disc also boasts one of the best songs I've heard on any release this year, the haunting "This Dream," which effectively finds the young singer rapping about social and economic injustice against a musical landscape as noteworthy for lush keyboards as the intoxicating rhythm.

A nonconformist to the current trend of ringtone beats and lacklustre lyricism, Loose Logic strives to produce quality in every single bar, and even between the lines. Tracks such as “R.I.Pâ€, “Feel My Pain†and “Luv You†are true examples of heart-felt, and personal accounts of a young man's life, with the exception of a beautifully portrayed image set upon the perfect canvas.

The ability to change a flow to complement the beat is something that many artists struggle to achieve. Logic's rhyming scheme is particularly impressive, and the way the flow is switched is done in an expert manner.

This is as main stream as it gets, the music is rich and powerful with clean lyrics and rhymes that twist a fresh hip sound right into your ear holes. This hip-hop is the rock of today's youth, with a touch of blues mixed into the middle of all this swing

While his skills as a rapper and songwriter are showcased in his original material, his ability to play keyboards and guitar also gives him a broader brushstroke to use while writing or working in the recording studio.

Thick hip hop that's bound to turn heads, Loose Logic designs melodic, textured and multi-dimensional hip hop with crystal clear production all in service of this overflowing package laden with huge beats, sharp samples, and lyrics that slice through it all with precision. All around, this album weighs in heavy in every department, especially in its wide appeal. Absolutely on-the-nose, well-conceived hip hop with conviction and commercial appeal. This is some of the best we've got in the genre.

Loose Logic's best feature is his consistency. Each track on the mixtape is followed by an equally entertaining, and unique four minutes, and it's difficult to pin-point any single weakness throughout the mixtape. Loose Logic ensures his music has the commercial appeal, but manages to keep his lyrics gritty, and real to his surroundings. With the ability to song write, sing, and produce his own material, Loose is considered one of the hottest acts out of California at the moment, and “Never Die Vol.1†is a true representation of that label.
