Ok so here's our story in a nut shell. We both ended up in the same percussion class in sixth grade. I had two years of experience on the bass before that and Zach had a "little of keyboard and other random instruments." We met and became friends. Shortly after that we began to experiement on other instruments. I began to mess around on guitar and a drum set while Zach picked notes on a bass. Before we knew what happened we started to understand what we were doing.
We each joined seperate bands and got the whole "playing with others concept." Once the bands had run their course we got back together and began writing our own music. He would be on bass and me on guitar. Once we had something that we liked I would move to the drums and see what I could come up with. The fun part was trying to write vocals since neither of us could sing or write. We kinda skipped that part for a while.
Now, our song wrting method has changed tremendously. Usually I sit down and come up with a guitar part, then I add the vocals, then I get a lead, after that Zach then comes up with a bass line and we both collaborate on the drums.
We are constantly writing and talking about our music. Last year we got some recording equipment and began toying around with it. We should hopefully have a demo out before the summer of '08.-Chris
