We've have both always been involved with music since our teenage years in the early sixties. I, Trish, am the one who posts on the net, often on behalf of both of us.We were both into Blues music before we met and were (separately) at art college, me in Winchester (on the same course as Eno), and Roger at Newcastle. I started the Student's Union at Winchester and began putting on music related events/lectures and bands such as Pete Townsend, Roy Harper, Pete Brown, Thunderclap Newman and various avant garde musicians, performers/mime artists etc whose names I have now completely forgotten !We spent a few years in the seventies and early eighties in the musical darkness when we were newly married and raising our son, but once he was a teenager we started to get out and about again. I discovered the Cure whilst incarcarated in hospital for five weeks and lived to hear them on the radio each night; I began to hear and enjoy Goth music and soon we were both hooked. Eventually we met up with DJ De'Ath and Andy C, became firm friends and started to work together. In 2001 we started our regular gothic clubnight based in Leeds which is called Black Veil. We also began putting live gigs on, formed GOG Promotions with DJ De'Ath and in 2003 our annual festival "Beyond The Veil" was born.Throughout these past eight years we have been lucky and privileged to meet many people on the goth scene and work with lots of excellent and talented musicians, making many friends along the way. This MySpace account is primarily for keeping in touch with those friends whom we know and see irl. Other bands etc seeking to be added as friends and wishing to network and promote themselves should apply to the MySpace accounts for "Beyond The Veil" and/or DJ De'Ath rather than here.
