About Me
My name is Tony Ray Klimek & I am a songwriter pretty much looking to find a place for my music. While I've not yet had any of my songs successfully placed with an artist or label, I have had one of my songs (Forever, And Then) almost used in the movie Brokeback Mountain. I am still hopeful of finding a home for my music, so (for now) I am placing some of my songs here on MySpace in hopes that someone will come along & hear something they like & possibly want to adopt one or all of my babies.
A former stand-up comic & radio jock, music has always pretty much been a major influence & part of my life growing up. Having suffered an injury not long ago that has caused me to lose my left leg & find myself caught up into a batch of other medical problems, I have fortunately had my faith & extreme love for music to turn to as a source of hope to get me through the darkest parts of my current disability. You can't begin to know how much I appreciate those of you who stop by to listen to my songs, those who share & tell others about my music & direct them here, everyone who leaves the wonderful messages & feedback about what you think of these works & for all you do in trying to help an Oklahoma boy's songwriting dreams come true! And all of you beautiful, incredibly life-saving folks who reach out & offer me your MySpace (and personal) friendships, I love each of you & I want you to know how much you all mean to me!

Having a hard time trying to decide which songs I want to share with you folks here, and being limited to only 6 in the provided MySpace music player, I have also added my own music player (directly above) that you can click upon to hear other additional songs if you'd like. Again, I'd be honored to hear what you think of what is offered here. I have even included some of my radio station interviews with some of my favorite artists back when I was working as a DJ, which you can also hear by clicking into my additional player above.
I'd especially love to hear from others who are also big fans of these incredible artists too! I was living the dream, baby ... now my dreams (as a songwriter) are being given wings here by you incredible folks, my saving angels! Thanks!
For those who already know me, it is no big secret that I am a HUGE fan of both Jake Gyllenhaal & Heath Ledger; especially with one of my songs (Forever, And Then) having almost been used in the film Brokeback Mountain. As with most of you, I was incredibly shocked & saddened by the January 22nd, 2008 passing of Heath Ledger. After I got beyond the first few waves of tears from the realization that we no longer had this wonderful actor & incredible talent with us any longer, I wanted to do something to honor his memory & the love so many of us around the world shared for him (and still do) ... so I created the below video in honor of our beloved Heath Ledger. It's hard to believe a year has already passed since we lost Heath Ledger on that tragic day last year. I wanted to create a new video to honor him, as there was so much more I wanted to say & do in the video that I didn't get the chance to really do last year. So, a lot of work & heart went into the creation of this new video. I hope you will let me know what you think of it, & that you'll possibly share the video with others as wells. Can I possibly make a video for you? As much as I love writing songs, I have also discovered a passion for producing music videos as well. For as little as $15 right now ($10 if you are one of my MySpace friends), I can make a video for you (using your photos) similar to the videos above that I made for Jake & Heath. Here are a few more video samples. This is a video I made for 2 of my little cousins, Bryton & Nolan, who are making quite a name for themselves as little rodeo stars. If you can be tied, rode, overpowered & conquered ... THEY WILL ROCK YOU!
Whether it is a keepsake video you'd like made for you or a loved one, these are just a few samples of the kind of styles of music videos I'd love to make for you. You can use the videos online however you'd like, or I can also burn them onto a DVD for you as well. Why settle for pictures that will fade & continue to degrade over the years, when you can have your precious memories transformed into treasures that will last a lifetime? Have you lost a loved one? Below is a keepsake video I made for Levi, the love of my life. You can have a similar video made of your child or loved one too, using your photos. Again, this is just one sample of many types of styles of video I can create for you. I love making these videos for folks, and I'm able to do it relatively cheap; plus the funds really help take care of some bills during my current state of disability, as well as being able to keep my dream of songwriting alive too ... since it affords me the blessing of being able to create more music & get even more demos of written works out there, perhaps giving me the further chance that something will fall upon THE right ear or ears & I'll get the first big break that every songwriter dreams of. So your watching the videos, and getting to make them for you, means just as much to me as your listening to my music. I hope you have heard something here you like or might possibly feel like sharing with others. Right now, I am focusing hardest on trying to get my song "Forever, And Then" placed or in the right hands. I would very much like to find an artist or label that would work with & make use of this song, or to have it placed for use in TV or film (as almost happened with Brokeback Mountain). This song means so much to me, & I want to see it placed so bad, that I am willing (even though I could really use the money) to give 100% of my share in the song's royalties to a major artist who first uses the song, for that artist to direct those funds to their favorite charity as a love gift (from them as well as from me). I believe the song was given to me for a reason, & that it has a purpose ... to hopefully touch others in ways that I can not yet even begin to fathom. If you're an artist, or label or producer or anyone who can help ... PLEASE help by becoming the angel who gives this song it's final wings? Oprah, can you hear me? Talk about someone hoping for a Harpo Hook-Up! :)
Okay, so if you're a singer (male or female), I've been given the chance to have the my song "Forever, And Then" pitched to some major lables as well as to some film & TV projects ... & I would like to get some more versions of the song performed by other artists. If you demo the song, it might be possible if yours is the version selected for use or placement that you could possibly get discovered or signed as an artist as well. If you're a major artist, however, the offer still stands in regards to my willingness to give 100% of my share of song royalties as a result of your using the song ... which I would like to have donated to your favorite charity, as my way of saying THANK YOU for making one of my greatest dreams come true. I want my music, especially this song, to exist off of MySpace! I don't want it limited only to the lives & hearts of those with a computer or MySpace page that drop by to this special, all be it little piece of my world.
So far, the song has 2 different versions (which either or both can be attempted) ... one which you can hear DEBBIE NUNN lending her beautiful talents to in the opening MySpace music player at the top of this page. The other version, a completely different take on the song entirely (more along the lines of a Sarah McLachlan performance), can be heard as performed by Marcy Little (within the 2nd towards the top of my page). This is another song I'm working hard to get placed as well, & I am wanting to get new demos cut for it by other various artists. I'm especially interested in hearing from a female, as there is an alternate set of lyrics for the song that were written for a possible female version of the song. The next, after that, which I would like to redo & put into a more powerful, full-band demo is "The Dream Came True." And, of course, please read my blog entry for "Raising Hell In Nashville" ... a song I've written that I am hoping to collaborate on with others, as I have with all of my songs; since I don't currently play an instrument & I leave the singing to those who can bring that talent to the table. I may love to sing, but that's best left to others. I wear underwear too, but I am under no morbid delusion that this in any way qualifies me to offer myself as an underwear model.
