About Me
I am the lead vocalist and part-time guitarist/keyboard player in two bands, LAST LICKS and PROJECT: LGM.I've been known to spend a lot of time writing songs throughout the years.
Recent projects include solo material for an eventual second release, my rock opera entitled, PSYCHEDELIA (being recorded), demos for LAST LICKS and originals with PROJECT: LGM. LAST LICKS will be writing and recording originals after the first tour of CT. clubs where we can get a chance to meet others who may have an interest in the style of classic rock we all love and respect.I joined PROJECT: LGM in 2003 after sitting in with the band at a show that I was asked to join in on. We had instant chemistry and it's been a brotherhood of performing, writing, playing and fighting.. but they are like brothers to me.LAST LICKS came about after Steve Shore, our bassist happened to catch a PROJECT: LGM gig at The Bunker in Wethersfield. I think Mike Gash had a little to do with pointing Steve to the band, for he had caught us before and he is a good friend of Steve's. I received an e-mail from the master-bassist and wordsmith the following day and a great friendship ensued. We began talking about putting together a really cool classic rock band in the spirit of the best of what CT. had to offer in the previous decade(s).. it seemed a little lacking as of late (Project:LGM and The Oreo Project aside)...
I mentioned Joe Santucci as a good choice on drums since I was already working with him in LGM and Joe is a great guy, talented player and just a pleasure to have around.. especially in a situation where everyone else (myself included) believes he knows exactly how to rule the universe.. or something just short of that, whatever that may be... So Joe was in... next we had to get a killer guitarist.. I mentioned to Steve that I knew a guy named Gray Fowler, whom I've had the pleasure of working with many years ago in a band called, JET. He was best known for being the life force in an 80's band called, The Regulars. Gray and I worked together on and off throughout the years on originals in my studio and he is just a great guy with immense talent, both as a killer guitarist and as a singer... Not to mention he's a handsome dude, too, so the ladies would all admire his...talent.
Anyhow.. the January jam took place at my place and I have to say, everyone in the band just looked at everyone else and felt like we had such a great jam that in was inevitable that we form a band.
Schedule conflicts, wives, kids, obligations, lawns, pets, drinks, homeowner stewardship, jobs and more drink aside.. we are now here.. and I'm psyched!I look forward to recording with PROJECT: LGM and LAST LICKS, playing for you LIVE as much as we can, given our busy lives.. but there is something wonderfully uplifting about the whole music experience right now, and I'm loving it! Hope to catch you soon!
