Boyanna Trayanova

Boyanna Trayanova's versatile drumming has made her a key player on the New Orleans music scene. She has played the drums for many local bands and artists spanning different genres from reggae to funk and modern jazz to traditional Klezmer and Balkan music. One of the region's few female drummers, Boyanna has been attracting attention for her monster chops and funky, in-the-pocket feel. Boyanna has worked with some of New Orleans's finest musicians including: James Andrews, Walter "Wolfman" Washington, and Troy "Trombone Shorty" Andrews. Currently, Boyanna's regular gigs include: John Lisi and Delta Funk, Chris Polacek and the Hubcab Kings, and Zion Trinity.
