The one who keeps me going daily, the one who I look up to(no literally), the one who keeps me sane, the one who keeps me incredibly elated, and most of all, the one that keeps my life happy and worth living.
"This is what you shall do: Love the earth and sun and the animals, despise riches, give alms to every one that asks, stand up for the stupid and crazy, devote your income and labor to others, hate tyrants, argue not concerning God, have patience and indulgence toward the people, take off your hat to nothing known or unknown or to any man or number of men, go freely with powerful uneducated persons and with the young and with the mothers of families, read these leaves in the open air every season of every year of your life, re-examine all you have been told at school or church or in any book, dismiss whatever insults your own soul, and your very flesh shall be a great poem and have the richest fluency not only in its words but in the silent lines of its lips and face and between the lashes of your eyes and in every motion and joint of your body."
-Walt Whitman

Most television subdues your true thoughts and feelings and freezes them into a world of mindless chatter about the superficial world (Reality TV, contest shows and fake sitcoms mostly). So stupid. I only watch educational or thought-worthy shows and channels: The Sci-Fi and Travel Channels, anything on Nat Geo., Discovery, and History Channels, specifically, The Twilight Zone, X-Files, Who's Line is it Anyway, Unsolved Mysteries, MythBusters, Monster Quest, A Haunting, and any documentaries on aliens, the Bermuda Triangle, hauntings, old civilizations, or anything mysterious. Yeah I'm a nerd, whatever.
The Davinci Code, anything Steven King, John Saul, or Nicholas Sparks (Message in a Bottle), The Hungry Tide, A Tale of Two Cities, Island of the Blue Dolphins, (and although they aren't really whole books-more like stories-(Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet, The Cask of Amontiado, The Pit and the Pendulum, The Tell-Tale Heart, and The Fall of the House of Usher), Lord of the Flies, Jane Eyre, To Kill a Mockingbird, Of Mice and Men... and don't forget the lovely Dr. Suess...
