About Me
Born into a family of greatness, Dajana had music flowing though her blood. She is the daughter of longtime producer, songwriter and performer Melvin E. Carter, and the strong Songtress Vearlynn A. Carter. She was born in Berkeley, California March 3rd, 1988. Being that she was surrounded by greatness, family and friends near and far knew she would be powerful in this area. Dajana is gifted in many areas other than singing, such as basketball, track, weightlifting and writing poetry. She also has many accopmlishments to account for.Dajana has been singing and performing since the age of 3. Her first studio session was at age 7 where she recorded her first demo. Her first major t.v. project, also was at the age of 7 for a local cable show, "Mr. BK and the BK Kids".Throughout her elementary and middle school years, she recieved numerous awards and recognition for various theatre productions, talent shows, and school showcases. She has also performed in theatre productions by her local ministry.Because Dajana was so skilled and gifted to do all these things, she was asked repeatedly to perform the National Anthem, and the Black National Anthem for her schools Black History Programs, she also performed the National Anthem for several community odservances and celebrations.While obtaining her membership in the 4-H Club, Dajana participated in there Talent Competition, winning 1st place as in many other competitions. In the year 2003 Dajana opened up for Dorinda Clark-Cole, at the "2003 LOVE FEST CELEBATION" in Dayton, Ohio.Not only has she opened up for the BELOVED Dorinda Clark-Cole, She has also shared the stage with "The Greatest Story-Teller" of our time, Dorothy Norwood in 2007 at the "Valentines Day Gospel Concert, in Atlanta, Georgia.Dajana is an active member in her ministry. She is apart of New Dimension Global's Praise and Worship team, as well as a strong leader in her Youth Ministry.Dajana's latest project is her single CD, intitled Thank You, from her solo album "Make Me Over. Soon to be in stores.Dajana has also embark upon her acting and dancing. She had the honor of being apart of 2007 iPOP Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada. Where she was the winner of Five Awards.
