My Interests

Music:

Influences: My influences are my father Hugh Ellerbee, Rusty Young, Paul Franklin, J.D. Manass, John David Call, John Hughey, most all steel players. Also dobro players, Jerry Douglas, Randy Kohrs, Rob Ickes, Phil Leadbetter, and Andy Hall.Bands I love to hear perform: Poco ( My all time favorite), John Cowan Band, Time Jumpers, Greencards, Randy Kohrs and the Lites, Infamous Stringdusters, Three Ring Circle, Alison Krauss and Union Station featuring Jerry Douglas, Leahy, Ricky Skaggs, Keith Urban. Too many more to list here.
Sounds Like: I play a more progressive steel guitar. I was self taught. Listened to bands like Poco, Pure Praire League, and most all of the country rock groups. That is what I grew up listening too. Love old country music, but enjoy playing the new country. Really love anything that challenges me on steel, dobro, or any other instrument. Like doing original material with songwriters.
