Charlotte (Marina Hardy) is a young French audiovisual artist. After having spent her childhood in France, dedicating her time playing the piano and studying Anglophone cultural arts, she spent some time in the United States and Canada, and then chose Buenos Aires as her new place of artistic creativity. When she arrived in the city she discovered the world of vjing, and started her career as a video artist. She is now experimenting a new software: Moldeo, and creating a set exploring her own vision of Japanese esthetics, offering a phantasmagoric and poetic world. She plays live using different softwares, improvisation, and adding new effects and images. In 2007, she directed her first piece of video art, Sommeil, selected for the Fuga Jurasica Festival in Buenos Aires.
Missing her piano, she recently started her own musical project. Inspired by times of travel, ambience of rainy and grey cities where she used to live, 60s and 70s soundtracks, her music tries to recreate instrumental sounds all composed by computer programs. Her tracks are very visual and cinematographic, and lead to melancholic feelings. As a DJ she mixes soft electro pop, indie music, electro clash and Canadian hip-hop. She's now one of the two residents DJ of the Inrocks club in Buenos Aires.
Charlotte works with ioni bihan as an audiovisual duo, charlotte being in charge of the visual part of ioni bihan live music. They presented their work in important festivals in Argentina like Fuga Jurasica IX, Estudio Abierto 2005 and 2006, Cultura y Media 2006, among many other famous stages of Argentinean electronic music. They have been touring Europe at the beginning of 2007, playing in Spain, Germany and France, and now are in charge of DJ residencies in two prestigious parties of Buenos Aires: Inrocks Club for charlotte and e-tono for ioni bihan. They are now joining again for a complete audiovisual experience, in a new project: dos-Ã -dos. They will be playing their own tracks as well as performing dj set and vj set, where both will be exchanging places.....
