MISSION: Poetry for the People Baltimore seeks to use poetry to heal, develop, and celebrate the greater Baltimore community and beyond.
VISION: Poetry for the People Baltimore (P4PB) sees a world in which poetry is explored in connection with other art forms and its excitingly diverse manifestations are witnessed. The importance of art in our daily lives can be appreciated, and art can enjoy the same esteemed stature as other endeavors, such as science and business. Art can be used holistically as a tool of enrichment. People can express their unique selves and realize their voices are desired and necessary in a world conversation. P4PB believes culture should be in the hands of the people. People can be proactive and supportive and not waiting for art forms to be marketed back to them. We can strive for a world that is safe for humanity. People can realize their creative potential and become unconfined in all aspects of their lives-in their thoughts, their use of resources, their knowledge, and thus their abilities.
