Joe Satriani has a certain place in my musical life. Tompa Thorberg just loved play his songs as catching his progressives up instantly and we had this rehearsal place for 8 years and we had open house kick ass thursdays in memory..
This guys in Weather report gaved me some good spirit when I was a kid
This guy Marcus Miller made me stunned with his first appearance in Miles Davis's crew.
This guy Miles Davis is a big artistic free inspiration.
Many many others If its good its good. But Jeff Beck , and specificly the record "Wired" influenced me more than any other record when I was a kid.
I should mention the Thorberg brothers who breaths quality, the elder brother Tompa chocked people with his brilliance as a kid and when I hear a original Hendrix, I hear Tompa. Closer to Exactly than anyone else I heard.
I newly discovered Gov't mule with Warren Haynes's excellent bluesvoice which I unfortunately wasnt be able to see at Sweden Rock Festival.
So as well I discovered this guy John Mayer which really impressed me with his strong voice and songs and handling the strat guitar according the minimalistic "less is more"-princips. Very nice.
There is so many I got influenced by, and if its it good I often like it depending on how much energy I can recieve, I should mention Stevie Wonder, Deep Purple, Stanley Clarke, Steve Vai, Eddie Van Halen, Frank Marino, John Lee Hooker, Keb Moe, Allman Brothers, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Billy Cobham, George Duke, Albert Collins, Ray Charles, Louis Armstrong, Accept, Jan Hammer, Lenny White, Peps Persson, Tony Ellis, Bosse Skoglund, Dag Vag, Sex Pistols, Led Zeppelin, Kiss, Alice Cooper, Stu Hamm, Al Jarreau, Level 42, Pink Floyd, Santana, Rainbow, MacLaughlin, Elvis, Infected Mushroom, Jeff Beck and ..Jeff Beck
