WESTBANK KREWE

In 2002, there were two groups working with music on the Westbank of New Orleans. Neither was really known. It was just friends getting together, but not really knowing which direction to go. These two groups were Westbank Kaos and Westbank Hardcore. Lil Kaos and punisher were both members of Westbank Kaos. Westbank Hardcore was made up of Joka Boy, Mr. E, and Dr. S aka Psycho Gringo aka Petey. Even though there were two different crews everyone knew each other long before. Joka Boy met Lil’ Kaos and Punisher in high school, and grew up with Mr. E and Dr. S. After about 2 years of creating random tracks, eventually both crews each parted ways. Individual members went on to pursue personal goals of their own. In early 2006, old members of each crew came back home to New Orleans with evolved skills and experience to form Westbank Krewe under the label Creeper Entertainment founded late 2004. Westbank Krewe is made up of Joka Boy, Mr. E, Lil' Kaos, Jones. Other members include Dino, Punisher, and Dr. S. Each member is an asset to the Krewe, because each member brings their own talent, heart, and skill. Joka Boy engineers all of Westbank Krewe's tracks. He is also a producer in the group. Along with his brother Mr. E they add a bilingual approach to the gumbo that is Westbank Krewe. His abrasive rap style blends rap and punk rock to hype Westbank Krewe's music. Lil' Kaos also produces tracks for Westbank Krewe. He adds his own style of hard hitting rhymes, and is responsible for many concepts. Jones, though never really part of WBHC or WBK, has always been in the game, and affiliated since high school. His rap style brings colorful punch lines and a unique flavor to the diverse sound. Punisher is a partner, member, and friend to Westbank Krewe. His Aggressive rhymes are yet another piece to the puzzle. Other members of the Krewe, though seldom heard, are Dino aka D-ceased and Dr. S. With his vocals, hooks, and tracks Dino adds a smooth sound to Westbank Krewe's music. Dr. S, one of the founding members of WBHC mainly focuses on the Triton workstation and playing guitar. He’s mainly behind the music, but will ocasionally get on a track.
