Born in Orlando, FL.- Raised in Buffalo, NY, Quentin “Yella Fella†Aleem has seen both of the best worlds when it comes to real music. After getting into trouble in Buffalo, NY, his mother sent him back to Orlando, FL. So his father can “teach him how to be a man†as she says.
Starting his career @ the age of 14 with his two school-mates, Hydro and Cash, he slowly began working on his production skills for the group. Mastering the art of music only at the age of 15, the group came with their first Hit Single in 2004 “Crispy Cleanâ€.
The group got spins on the local underground radio stations as well as great show opportunities - opening up for label-mates; TREAL. In 2005, he was featured on TREALs’ 2nd official Single; Swang on Everybody, later on helping the group with production for the smash hit “Don’t Worry Bout Minesâ€.
In 2006 his Father/Manager put him in contact with a good plug involving Televised Broadcasting of his production. As of now he has production credentials on MTV’s Next, Americas Best Dance Crew, Yo Momma, T.I.’s Road to Redemption and Kamora Lee- Life in the Fab Lane, just to name a few.
After going through some legal difficulties in 2006, was when he received his first royalty payment. “I remember , it was only for $397†he says. From then, he began working heavily on production for many “unknown†local artist, as well as for the television networks. Now he is back [in 2009] as a solo artist/producer/song writer, slowly but surely making his way onto the underground Music scene.
