Mercury Catfish

About Me

Playing together since 1997, we took on the name Mercury Catfish in 2000. We have recorded 2 albums and sometimes we actually appear live. Our first album "Mercury Catfish" was completed in 2001. It contains funk jams, vocals, rock, jazz, spoken word, and some craziness. It is currently out of print in the U.S. It can still be found in some record shops on the island of Madagascar. (We hope to re-release it before long.) Our live shows began to improve over 2003 and 2004. Some of the material that we developed over that time became our second album "Miles of Space". It was recorded in 2005, and is completely instrumental. This album pushed further into funk and jazz. It has been more widely distributed, and has drawn positive feedback from some unlikely sources. The band played some shows in 2006 and 2007 while building a home studio. With the studio up and running, we are currently recording tracks for our 3rd studio album. If we had our way...

If Chris Scrupsky had his way, he would be building race cars for a sponsor with deep pockets. If Chris Musulin had his way, he would be in the Appalacian Mountains without a telephone. If Eric McLa...
