About Me

HERO 9 was formed from the ashes of previous local bands in October 2004. Rythem guitarist Anthony Hester & drummer B.J. Chatman connected immediately and knew then and there that this was something to pursue. Through various member changes, HERO 9 finally found the right connection with vocalist Chuck Dunn in March of 2005. One of the most respected, yet underrated vocalist around, Chuck immediately made an impact on the younger members of the band. Dunn, Chatman, & Hester were on the same page and have led the band through many ups and downs. In 2005 they completed a three month summer tour playing throughout the states of Arkansas, Alabama, Illinois, Missouri, Mississippi, and Tennessee. Making little money but so many new fans, the band knew deep inside that the tour was a success seeing as to how many new fans that they had made and also as to how their music had grown so much stronger. In early 2006, the band was blessed with new bassist J.C. Causey. They would later find their fix with lead guitarist and phenom Adam Fox. It was then that Dunn, Chatman, & Hester knew that this is what the band needed to pursue their goals. Bringing a heavier, more hardcore sound to the table, HERO 9 was immediately overcome with acceptance from their longtime fans throughout the area. With strong and melodic songs, the band looks for huge success in the coming years. Bringing out a true post-hardcore/rock alternative sound, HERO 9 takes the stage each night knowing there is a job to do. And fun to be had while doing so. The band brings to the stage one of the most intense and crowd oriented shows ever. Its not uncommon to see guitar's swinging around the necks of the guys in the band. Nor is it uncommon to see these 5 guys on stage having the greatest time of their life, all while spreading the meaning and love behind their music to all in attendance. With the release of their debut CD "Death Came Today", few could turn away from the influential songs "Inamorata" & "The Past Is Present". The CD sold out and is currently available through the band members, whom would be more than happy to burn anyone a copy. They recently started recording their second album in early January of 2007. With many suprises, fans can expect the unexpected on this album that will release in early spring of 2007. It will feature 12 original songs that the band has written, including the fan favorites "My Dry Erase Heart", "Innocent Until Proven Guilty", & "Forget Me Not" along with many others. HERO 9 has a sound destined to be heard. The only way to hear it...is to come see them live and find out for yourself.HERO 9 is:Chuck Dunn- Lead Vocals Anthony Hester- Rythem Guitar/Vocals J.C. Causey- Bass Adam Fox- Lead Guitar/Vocals B.J. Chatman- Drums
