About Me

......FB.init("0635d29a0b596cbd037f93518caaa4ae");...... Quake the Great on FacebookMarquez ‘Quake’ J started making music around 2003 with a small group performing at small clubs and talent shows in his hometown, Memphis, Tennessee. He discovered his gift of rhythm and poetry (RAP) from hanging around local artists that played football at his high school, Treadwell. He earned the name “Quake” from the way he approached the football field and rumble with the opposing team. The name, “Quake”, followed him into hip hop because he gave off the same effect on a beat that he gave on the field. Quake has always been known for his great word play, unique style, and outstanding swagger when making music. He appeals to the crowd with punch lines and catchy phrases he leave them to say on daily bases.Around 2006, Quake got with a group by the name of Mo Gutta Records. One of the artists on this label was related to one of Memphis’s own, Skinny Pimp. During the time period with Mo Gutta, Quake pulled in a variety of performances and met many local artists in a few bordering states and cities. Quake performed in Knoxville, Nashville, Atlanta, and a few more other cities in Mississippi. During, these events, he opened up for All Star, Bone Crusher, and a few more know artist. In addition, Quake and his group, Mo Gutta, opened up for Rick Ross in Marietta, Georgia at Club Q. Although Quake was receiving much love from other cities, when returning back to Memphis, many DJs didn’t give him any attention in clubs when he attempted to perform. After a few performances in Memphis, Mo Gutta Records decided to go there separate ways.During this time period as a solo artist, Quake kept making music for his fans in his community as well as fans on the outside. Around 2007, Quake became a student at University of Memphis. He released his third mixtape entitled “Get Money”, which was his first CD released to the college campus. After dramatic events that happen in his life, he began to take music more seriously than he ever have before. These events have been explained in his most recent mixtape, “The Rough Draft”. After linking up with his new ally, Brandon “901” Paige representing Memphis Boy Productions, Quake now records on the daily bases and complete at least three songs a week. When linking up with a close friend, Quake and Andre “24” Perry together created their new independent record label known as Track Killa Entertainment. Track Killa Entertainment is designed of independent artists that are seeking a solo career in the hip hop industry. Track Killa Entertainment capitalized on the golden opportunity of being on a local T.V. station in Memphis, Channel 17, performing for a small show that TK of hot 107.1 had put together for local artist. After seeing Quake’s dedication from his inspirations and motivations, there is no way that his music career will be denied in the hip hop industry. When Quake found a home with Hype Life, he began to increase his fan base and his performance skills on stage. After distributing more than one thousand + copies of “The Rough Draft” to his hometown, Quake now feels that he is ready for any obstacles that stand in the way of victory. With Quake’s devastating punch lines and artistic style, hip hop will resurrect from its stand point when he receive his opportunity to display his unique lyrical skills. For Booking contact: (901) 949-0431(Free Devin Jefferson) Quake Track Killa Ent. ___________
