A.M. O'Grady

A.M. O’Grady is one of the most talented, quirky, contemporary singer-songwriters on the Irish music scene. A combination of original melodies and lyrics combine to make A.M.‘s music a unique experience. She has opened shows for many international performers including Christy Moore, Planxty, The Posies, Mundy, The Devlins, and Luka Bloom.
A.M. has been writing songs for many years. Her debut album, Precious Lines, was recorded in Marguerite Studios, Dublin and Soundhouse Recording Studio in the USA. It features a wide variety of home grown and international talent. Produced by Trevor Hutchinson (Waterboys, Lunasa) drawing on the creative talents of Ken Stringfellow (REM), Wayne Sheehy (Damien Dempsey), Conor Brady (Gerry Fish), Vyvienne Long (Damien Rice) and many more.
Music producer and recording engineer Malcolm Burn (Bob Dylan, Emmylou Harris, Iggy Pop - www.malcolmburn.com) was so impressed with A.M.’s songs that he invited her to record a follow-up album at his studio in New York. The result is 24 Hours; a collection of acoustic, soulful songs, soon to be released.
A.M.’s material ranges from laid back, acoustic, soulful songs to an innovative mix of rock, pop and country. A.M.’s debut album provides a range of songs that will not disappoint.
