About Me

I now live in Yorkshire, in the fantastic town of Keighley. My songs come from the traditional Breton and French repertoire and are all for dancing. I am accompanied by a wonderful accordionist - Steve Turner, who plays for the Eels Grinders (great name), as a duo with Helena Torpy and in a new brilliant trio, Wistman's Wood. I specialise in call and response songs (Chants a Repondre), those mesmerizing and entrancing tunes for dancing so unique to Brittany. I am also involved in running a French and Breton dance group, Les Panards Dansants, based in Leeds. We organise a festival every year in Otley, Le Festival des Panards (of course...). So check out the website for french dancing events and festou-noz. Also I have a super job, together with Robin Shepherd on fiddle and accordion, we teach traditional french dancing to children mainly in primary schools introducing a bit of language and culture. The kids love it and we do too!! I am trying to download some of my songs and hope you'll enjoy listening, dancing to them as much as I do singing them.
