Graduated from Stockholm Royal Academy of Music in 1995 and has been working as a jazz-trumpet-player since then. Moved to Copenhagen/Malmoe-area in 1999. Has played in various constellations. Can be heard on records with Bohuslan Big Band, Stockholm Jazz Orchestra, Hector Bingert Latin Lover Big Band, Tivoli Big Band, Monday Night Big Band, Bob Rockwell Quintet, Ronnie Gardiner Septet, Ulf Andersson Band, Tivoli Big Band and many more... Today Mårten is the Musical Director of Monday Night Big Band in Malmö and is also a part of the band Schack-Mates who is playing all over Denmark and has also been playing in China.
