Mello-D. ( Raburn Boyd Bennett ) was drawn to the hip hop culture at an early age. He began rappin' in the late 80's and was eager to perform where ever he could find an audiance. After graduating high school in Collquit County Ga (c.o.1989). Mello Moved to Tampa Fl. and signed his first recording contract with local record label Hit So Mo, where he went on to release one very successful album" Reality" as a member of The Hit List Possee and an equaly successfull e.p. " Right Now" as a solo artist. After several years of performing and livin' his dream, Mello was forced to give up on hip hop in order to take care of personal problems and a rapidly growing family. 10 years later Mello decided to pick up the mic again. Forming his own indie label, Smak-A-Trak in 2004. However this time instead of chasing fame, money, and women, the focus was on GOD. Mello realized that GOD had givin' him this gift to use to reach souls. He realized that the years spent in the world (the secular side of hip hop) was mearly in preparation for the job he was about to do( take the gospel world wide through hip hop music). Mello has ,to date released three Christian albums "HIP HOP GOSPEL", "WARRIOR 4 CHRIST", "NEVER GOIN' BACK" and is currently recording number four that is currently untitled but, promises to be full of God's annointiing and lots of surprises.
