About Me

I am a young girl trying to be a mature woman, which is kinda hard sometimes but I'm getting better at it when I have to. I have a happy home with my man and our zoo. I try to spend as much time with my family as I can because they help to keep me centered and focused. Someday I'd like to have a family of my own. I'm trying to make my dream of being a successful artist alive... I refer back to the trying to be responsible thing, it's been kind of hard to find the time to put into my own work when I have to work for someone else in order to put food on the table in the meantime.

My Interests

I'm trying to build a collection of artwork, sketches, paintings, jewelry and such to show some time soon. I spend a lot of time walking around town trying to find interesting subjects to sketch. On my days off I like to go home to visit the fam-damily, play with my niece and nephew, they help to keep me immature. Sick as it is I take pleasure from torturing my nephew, he is so easy!!! Really though, kids are great to play practical jokes on they take it sooooo much better than adults!..

I'd like to meet:

Cool, positive people to hang out with, I want to have fun with my friends. I want to be around people who embrace life and learn from it. I want to find other artists to surround myself with, hopefully we can inspire eachother. I'm hoping to find some potential subjects for my work.

Music:

MUSIC WITH A MESSAGE!!!! I hate all the pop crap that gets played out on the radio. Big fan of Jason Mraz, came to the Rogue Valley last summer, got to see him thanks to my cuz Jana, listen to him every day on my way to work to get psyched up.

Television:

Lately I've been stuck on Ovation tv, it's a channel that does a lot of biographies of artists. It's pretty cool to see interviews or documentaries about some of my favorite artists.

Books:

I read too much, I can't pick my favorite, but if it lets me escape the real world for a while I'm down. You can usually find me in the middle of something by Stephen King, or a classic like right now I'm trying to get through Anna Karenina.

Heroes:

Anyone that can come through adversity having learned a lesson from it and without bitterness.
