I Tequila's Mind nascono tra i banchi della 1D 2001/2002 del Liceo Galilei di Siena. Il Poncho un giorno arriva a scuola con una custodia a tracolla contenente un lungo strumento, e Rugge gli chiede: "Vuoi iniziare a suonare la chitarra elettrica??". La risposta:"No. Questo è un basso." fa nascere tutto. Rugge da piccolo suonava la chitarra classica in un'orchestra, ma poi schifito aveva smesso a 11 anni dimenticandosi tutto; motivato dal Poncho e il suo ROY-TEK da 150 euro racimola i pochi soldi che ha e si compra la chitarra elettrica più economica del Checcacci (una Eko!!) insieme ad un mini Marshall. Comincia la ricerca della formazione, alla voce compare Guido, pittoresco personaggio e adesso grande amico, e alla batteria Chiodino, energico punk di appena 14 anni, con i quali viene tenuto il mitico concerto della "giornata della musica" 2001, in cui con Smells like teen spirit e Zombie, i Tequila (a quel tempo gli Explosion) riescono a svuotare l'aula magna del liceo!! Chiodino se ne va, ed inizia la disperata ricerca per un nuovo batterista. Liquidati dopo una prova da Martino, avviene la prima grande svolta del gruppo: arriva inspiegabilmente Dario, chiamato poi "il Maestro" per la sua abilità nel suonare e per il numero di donne conquistate, proveniente da un gruppo metal di un'abilità tecnica neanche lontanamente paragonabile con quella dei Tequila (a quei tempi) e tra i migliori nella scena rock senese. Ancora i Tequila non sanno bene perchè il Maestro abbia deciso di confondersi con quattro villani dal sound e dalla strumentatura scadente... Probabilmente aveva percepito i talenti emergenti :P!! Viene cambiato il cantante, e dopo alcune prove è assoldata Elena alla voce. Nasce il nome, e la band inizia a fare cover migliorando tecnicamente.Dopo qualche mese arriva all'altra chitarra Trallallà , pazzo e stupido frequentatore del liceo,e le cover aumentano di difficoltà . Passato un anno di attività Elena se ne deve andare dalla band per motivi di studio, e dopo molto travaglio il nuovo cantante diventa Luke, amico di vecchia data. I Tequila sembrano aver preso la giusta direzione, e vengono composti i primi pezzi come Morris ed altri inediti, ma dopo pochi concerti Luke decide di andarsene. Inizia qui un periodo di crisi lungo quasi un anno, dovuto sia al Maestro, che per problemi di lavoro sembra convinto a partire per l'Inghilterra, sia per l'incessante ricerca di un cantante che non dà mai risultati soddisfacenti.Proprio sull'orlo del precipizio, il Maestro trova un lavoro, e quando Rugge in un momento di debolezza va ad iscriversi a scuola di canto, la segretaria gli suggerisce il Cili. Sembra piovuto dal cielo!! Il nuovo cantante va benissimo, ha la giusta energia ed è molto creativo, senza contare che è stupido almeno quanto il resto della band. Vengono fatti alcuni concerti, e composti molti pezzi, oltre al solito repertorio di cover. Nel 2005 viene registrata la prima demo, "Tequila's Mind - Per la buona musica" cotenente Introrail, Interrail, Looking For the Edge, Lighthouse, Morris e Nuvole. Nel 2006 la band vince la Città Aromatica e suona insieme a Mauro Pagani (PFM, Ligabue, Muse e infiniti altri). Nel 2007 viene registrata la seconda demo "Tequila's Mind - II", contenente le canzoni TRQN, Respirare Liberi, L'Investigatore, She (The Secret Of The Moon), Midnight Sun e la nuova versione di Interrail. ------------------------------------------------------------ ----------------------------------------------------------- Tequila's Mind was born in the first class (1d) of the Galilei High School of Siena. Once Mr. Poncho arrived at school with a case containing a long instrument on the inside. Rugge asked him if he had started playing the guitar. The answer: "nope, this is a fuckin bass" made everything start. Rugge remembered his infancy when he used to play the classical guitar in an orchestra, but then disgusted he had stopped at 11 years old forgetting everything. Motived from Mr.Poncho and his 150 euro Roy-Tek he scraped together his few money and bought the cheapest guitar of the music shop (an EKO) together with a mini-Marshall. It started the search for the others musicians. As the vocalist appeared Mr Guiiido, very strange fellow and now great friend, and as the drummer came Mr Chiodino, a kick-ass 14 years old punk-rocker, with whom was played the historical concert in the "Music Day 2001". The Tequila's Mind (in that time the Explosion) with Smells Like Teen Spirit and Zombie managed to empty the assembly hall of the high school!!! Mr Chiodino left the band, and started again the despairing search for another drummer. Refused from Martino after one try, it happens the most important turning point for the band: the "Maestro" joined the band , a great drummer that played in a metal band of an extremely higher technical level than the Tequila's one at that time, and one of the best drummers in town. We still dont know why the Maestro decided to play with such rudes and badly-equipped musicians... Probably he had seen the emerging talent of these guys :P!! The singer changed, replaced with Elena. The name became Tequila's Mind, and the band started to play many covers improving technically. After a couple of months joined the band Mr.Trallallà , crazy and stupid schoolmate of Poncho and Rugge, and with two guitars the covers became more and more technical. Past one year of activity, Elena had to leave the band for studying reasons, and after a suffering period, the new singer becomes Luke, an old friend. The band seems to have found the right direction, they were composed the first own themes like Morris and others unpublished works, but after few concerts Luke had to leave. It started an almost one year long crisis period due both to the Maestro, who wanted to move to England for working reasons, and to the incessant search for a singer that never gave the hoped results. Finally, the Maestro finds a new job in Siena, and Mr Cili became the new singer in 2005. He is really creative, he has the right energy, and he's stupid like the rest of the band. They're composed lots of new songs, together with some covers. In 2005 is recorded the first demo "Tequila's Mind -Per la Buona Musica", containing the songs Introrail, Interrail, Looking For the Edge, Lighthouse, Morris and Nuvole. In 2006 the band wins a competition and plays at the "Citta Aromatica", with Mauro Pagani (PFM, Ligabue, Muse and lots more). In 2007 is recorded another demo, "Tequila's Mind II", containing the songs TRQN, Respirare Liberi, L'Investigatore, She (The Secret Of The Moon), Midnight Sun and the new version of Interrail.
