About Me

Originally a 3 piece playing for fun, Brian wanted to further things and advertised for a singer. Trev joined as vocalist in October 2005 and we became Few Broth. Trev had previously played and sung in both rock and acoustic bands and has also played solo in folk clubs during the 1970's. We stayed as a four piece for a short while but lost a member and reverted back to a threesome. October 2008 saw us welcoming a young lady vocalist into the band Frances, who also plays flute, violin, trumpet, clarsach, cajon and percussion. March 2009 saw us recruit Sarah, who had previously been a member of 'The evil sweeties'. Sarah, unfortunately, had to leave the band in October 2009 as she has other musical commitments. We are now back to being a quartet! The band are mainly folk influenced but we like to play a variety of different songs and styles, from Geordie songs/tunes through blues to American folk and humourous numbers too.
