Zaatar

Za'atar was formed in Berkeley, California in 1998 and is dedicated to performing the largely forgotten music of the Jews of Arab and Muslim lands. The response to the vibrant middle eastern melodies, percussion and improvisation was fantastic and Za'atar eventually performed at all of the major venues in the San Francisco Bay Area as well as some in southern California.
