Emile Antoniou (born July 3rd,1984), better known as his stage name Alby Skandul, is an Australian hiphop artist/producer & businessman. He is the former co CEO of Midway Entertainment and is the owner of King Hit Records as of 2007. He is also one-third of the upcoming Sydney-based hiphop group RougH Company. He first found hiphop back when he was 9, banging the kitchen table with drum patterns and singing Snoop Doggy Dogg lyrics. Eventually, his mother saved up some money and purchased him his first boombox, sparking his interests in music. As all mc's, he started freestyling, writing and then producing, following all the great rappers at the time. He would freestyle anybody willing to rap, hencing his original name "Da Ryme", come from his interest in rapper Busta Rhymes.
Growing up in South Maroubra, Sydney, Skandul attended Maroubra high school where he met rapper Dezman, who taught him hiphop 101. He also met Indo C in 1997, who would become Skandul's DJ at any parties in the local area. He stayed at Maroubra High till 2000, when it shut down due to excessive narcotics and violence amongst school kids n teachers. He made the decision of going to college to get a Diploma in Accounting, while part-timing rap on the side.
He first became known to wide audiences around the world with the help of Baby Deee aka Dino of Do It 4 Urself Productions & Swagg representative A&R Dreks (Street Cred Co CEO) in early 2008, sparking the Australian mixtape revolution. Skandul's collaborations include Black Gotti, Young Hu$tle, LA Truth & The Ra to name a few. His group RougH Company, will be dropping their international mixtape "The Alliance" for a March/April 2009 release. It will be published by SWAGG International Magazine.
