About Me

I'm 29 years old, from Scotland and I do long-distance delivery driving of car parts to the Highland region of the country (yeah, the picture-postcard place with hills and kilts) for a living. I'm engaged to the perfect girl and currently own three chinchillas who for more than two years have been convinced that I'm going to eat them at some point, skillfully ignoring all the treats and chewy things they've received in that time.

I'm a failed racing driver who doesn't seem to get the message and will be back for my third season in the Scottish Legends Championship in 2009. I've written up a blog on my racing and there are various pictures of just about everything on my flickr site.

That's enough, January. That'll do.

Is January nearly over yet? Having been ill for most of it and having three seperate breakdowns of my work vehicle, I'm hoping that this hasn't been how 2009 is intending to continue. I'd kill for a c...

Back to reality!

Just got back from a blissful three weeks in NY with my significant other and it's somewhat reassuring to slip back into the chaotic old ways straight away:While I was away the Chinese takeaway next t...

Quantum Of Sausage

I know everyone else hates it, but I saw Quantum Of Solace with my Brother-In-Law last week and we both agree it was 'kin brilliant. Yes it's a bit short and the action scenes are so fast paced that i...

Quandry

Winter's here. I must have missed Autumn somehow, but last night at the pickup in Dundee I could have sworn it was down at freezing point and sure enough out in the country there was frost to be seen....

An American movie better than a British one? First time for everything...

Had some time to kill the last few days so watched a few movies. I heartily endorse Juno - it's a really good story even if the current language of the American teenager is a bit impenetrable to furne...

That was also quick. More pleasant too.

After my mistakenly public breakdown a few days back, I thought I'd post a followup (just to dispell the fact I generally just bitch all the time) with regards to two of the three things I was down ab...

Bloody ow.

First day back at work after having to take a week off to get over the crash at Knockhill last week. I think I know now why people make such an issue of neck/spine injuries even if it's just whiplash ...

Like the Hollywood police chief with 2 weeks to retirement...

So Sunday was to be my last race weekend for the time being, if not overall. Sure enough, in true movie fashion it was an utter disaster. At the first corner of the second race of the day, a car spun ...

Leeches!

Those unfortunate enough to drive Britain's roads will be aware of the "Safety Partnership" speed-camera vans which lurk round corners and in shrubs, gleefully waiting to snap motorists doing 61mph in...
