Raised on country music all my life.....traditional roots run deep within the family by such icons as Conway Twitty, Merle Haggard, Buck Owens just to name a few....Started playing the guitar when I was 10....started drumming at 11 started playing live when I was 13.......................................................... ..Played in a rock band most of my life and toured all over hells half acre with my 80"s rock band LOCRIAN (pronounced Lock--Ree-in)........shared the stage with great bands such as Blue Oyster Cult, Coney Hatch, Kim Mitchell, Lee Aaron, April Wine, Rik Emmett, just to name a few.....played that circuit until 1992......during that time I was also a booking agent and booked everyone from ARC ANGELS, SUE MEDLEY, BLUE RODEO, TRAGICALLY HIP, LEE AARON, COLIN JAMES, RIK EMMETT, CONEY HATCH, VON GROOVE, KILLER DWARFS, BRIGHTEN ROCK, BLUE OYSTER CULT, PAT TRAVERS, EDGAR AND JOHNNY WINTER, DR.HOOK, ....and many many more outstanding artists. ............................................................ .........................I have been very fortunate to be in various aspects of the musical industry within my 20 years....everything from Booking Agent, Artist Manager, Tour Manager, Performer, Venue GM, songwriter, Producer. ............................................................ .....................................I dove into the Country circuit a few years back and had the pleasure of playing with my good friends the BAREBACK RIDERS for about a year. I left the BBR in 2006 to start up 2 additional projects....a Keith Urban Tribute show and a kick ass country band called BLIND RIVER.....BR has taken off beyond our expectations and we have already booked up the majority of 2007 already...not to mention our debut CD will be released in 2007 as well........................................................ ......................................................I have since expanded my musical abilities by getting into engineering and this past year I assisted in engineering the new "South Mountain" CD called "Just for You" under the talented and watchful eye of my good friend JAY RIEHL. I am currently now in the middle of Producing/Engineering a CD for the Bernard Boys (KURK-IVAN-LIONEL) which is due out in early 2007.....then its into the studio to record our debut CD with my band BLIND RIVER....................................................... ................................................. I am currently doing consulting with several country clubs in Ontario booking various recording and club acts, and am also quasi managing a few artists as well. Have since worked with CMG Entertainment and House of Blues producing various club and arena shows within Southern Ontario..................................................... ............................................I was thrilled to recently find out i will have a song I co-wrote with country recording artist JOHN LANDRY appear on his new CD due out in the fall 2007...the song is called "Set em Up". I have since been doing alot of co-writing with my good friend of almost 20 years MIKE SHOTTON from VON GROOVE fame........................................................ ................................................I Spent a good part my time on tour with 2007 CCMA Album of Year Winners, DOC WALKER. I have been hired as their full time Tour Manager, and also Tour Manage CORB LUND and the Hurtin Albertans, and have TM for DERIC RUTTAN. I do alot of work with RGK Entertainment (Ron Kitchener) who also Manages DOC WALKER, CORB LUND, THE ROAD HAMMERS to name a few......................................................... .................................so whats left u ask ??.......LOTS......im getting to know my Pro Tools rig very well.....looking forward to recording our Blind River CD....then looking forward to touring with my good friends in Blind River (ol Rigs).....I have been very blessed to be surrounded by a great group of friends and collegues who push and challenge me to become better at what I do.Heres to the road that lay ahead........I live my life by one simple principal !!THERE IS NO REWARD WITHOUT RISK !!!!Get out and support Live music !!Kevin Bushey
