Influences: The group plays traditional Iranian folk songs, as well as, popular love songs from the 1940s through 1970s, the years preceding the cultural revolution of 1979.
Sounds Like: Monika Jalili : NoorSaaz offers a sophisticated blend of chamber and world music with lyrics in Persian, as well as English and French, which singer Monika Jalili has translated. With a mix of western and eastern instruments, the artists of NoorSaaz combine their influences to present original interpretations of this music. In this spirit of exploration, NoorSaaz aspires to create understanding through an appreciation of the beauty of Iranian culture.
